There will be no classes for now because of the Corona virus outbreak.
Classes will begin again when things return to more normal. For now stay healthy, stay safe, and we will dance together again when this is over.
Information about Classes
Building solid fundamentals, this progression of classes is intended to provide dancers with a toolkit of core ideas and skills. Foundations of good posture and movement are emphasized at all levels. Dancers are encouraged to develop their own personal dance from these principles.
The beginning class series develops the fundamentals of good walking, clear communication between partners, and effortless leading and following. With good posture and clear movement the close embrace is not difficult and with a little practice it is very comfortable. With this as a base the first simple steps can be developed. By the end of the series dancers will be able to begin going to milongas.
Intermediate A level classes are intended to expand dancers’ vocabulary, and further develop core movements and concepts. The class series at this level are intended to expand and develop dancers’ understanding of tango. Combining the Beginners series to get started and the cycle of classes in the Intermediate A level will build a strong base for dancers to develop their own dancing and their own style.
Intermediate B level classes focus on delving deeper into single topics and developing more complex ways of moving. These classes start with fundamental movements and explore more complex ways of using them contributing to the ongoing development of dancers’ personal style.
